Dental ball attachments, like most mechanisms, are subject to wear. Rhein83 produces spheres that restore spherical devices and allows the function of the prosthesis to be restored in a single appointment. We highly recommend the use of Rhein83 OT Cem Composite Cement with this product.
This complete kit restores worn ball attachments to allow a new prosthesis to be made. The sphere is Tin-coated titanium with a Vickers hardness of over 1600 and is available in various diameters - 1.8 mm, 2.2 mm and 2.5mm. 1.8mm and 2.5mm can both be used to convert to the Rhein83 OT Cap Micro and Normal overdenture systems and the 2.2mm to systems such as Bredent VKS. Reconstructive spheres are fixed by bonding using anaerobic self-hardening (Rhein83 OT CEM) or photo-hardening anaerobic composites.
