Members of Barry Rimmer’s Study Group came in for a real treat last month when they had a presentation from Csaba Pesti, owner of Your Dental Lab, a leading digital dental lab based in Budapest, Hungary. Specialising in implant prosthetics, digital design and impression-free dentistry, Csaba has been at the forefront of introducing innovative implant prosthetic solutions across the country and is recognised for his contributions to the modernisation of dental lab workflows.

So what brought him to Kirby Lonsdale on a sunny September evening? As an exponent of Rhien83’s innovative implant prosthetic solutions, he demonstrated models of the OT Bridge & Equator leading onto the EASYFix. This latest development from Rhein83 is a fixed prosthesis without screws and bought gasps of amazement from the gathering.

The EASYFix was launched at Rhein83 Congress in Bologna earlier this year where Prestige Directors, Lucy Gabbitas and Paul Martin attended, together with their guest Barry Rimmer. The EASYFix – designed to create screwless full-arch fixed prosthetic structures – was a huge leap forward. Our team were keen to bring this ground breaking development back to the UK, but ideally alongside an expert who could demonstrate the EASYFix and talk about their direct experience with it. Csasba’s UK trip last month was the successful outcome of that request and kindly hosted by Barry Rimmer at his Kirby Lonsdale Study Group.

For those attending this was a true dental revelation, prompting all round approval and plaudits such as ‘Game changer’ and ‘Why haven’t we heard about this before?’. Summing up this exciting development, Paul commented:

OT Equator Easy Fix

EASYFix is a snap-on fixed prosthesis without screws, with a special release key so restorations can be easily removed and inspected in a simple, non-invasive manner. The system requires only one access hole for unlocking which can be placed where convenient, preserving the functionality and appearance of the restoration. And a choice of 3 levels of retention force makes it possible to manage the correct retention in relation to the number of implants. With simple and safe insertion up to 60°, it has a prosthetic seal comparable to a standard Ti base system.
