In fact, in over 500 in-office cleanings, we had no reports of a serious clog. The secret is a new linear flow design with minimal twists, turns and angles to collect and jam the device.

Push to rinse The Parkell Prophy PencilTM now features a finger-tip water control. After polishing several teeth, use the "rinse" control to flush away the spent bicarb. This reduces the salty taste and lets you evaluate your progress without resorting to the water syringe.

Install It Yourself in About 2 Minutes The Prophy PencilTM sits in a handpiece hanger and operates off your unit's foot control. You hook it to the highspeed air/water line just like a sonic scaler in about 2 minutes. So it's always sitting there, always at your fingertips. Simply pick up the Pencil and step on the foot pedal to begin polishing.

Disposable prophy tip reaches stains anywhere in the mouth

• With its new tip, the Prophy Pencil extends deep into the mouth to polish hard-to-reach buccal and lingual surfaces.
• It concentrates the slurry on the specific tooth being cleaned, so polishing is faster with reduced overspray.
• Because of the angled tip, there's less need to retract to reach the posterior. And no need to twist and turn your body as you work.
• The tip rotates 360¡. (By the way, it's very easy to turn. That's because you swivel just the tip ... not the entire prophy head.)
• And if you don't like the angle that's built into the tip ... just change it. The Pencil comes with a special adjustment tool that lets you easily bend the tip to virtually any shape you want. (For example, an 180¡ J-curve to access difficult anterior lingual surfaces.)
• When you've finished polishing, simply remove the tip and throw it away.
