Parkell - Restorative ProductsTR-2 TR-2 is the first provisional cement specifically formulated for cosmetic temporization. Its tooth-like shade simply disappears at the margins. There’s no opaque cement line to compromise aesthetics. It’s fast-setting. You can start clean-up just a minute or two after seating. The excess cement strips easily from the exterior of the crown, the adjacent teeth, and soft tissue without laborious scraping. When you’re ready to cement the permanent crown, you won’t first have to spend time with a handscaler cleaning off the temporary cement. TR-2 doesn’t crumble or stick to the tooth. In fact, it generally remains in the temporary restoration when it’s removed. Seal the preparation with a bonding agent Unlike other resin cements, TR-2’s unique chemistry won’t permanently bond to most dentin bonding agents. So before temporizing the preparation, you can seal it with a bonding agent to prevent sensitivity and leakage. And when you’re ready to remove the provisional crown, it will come off without a struggle. When used with a bonding agent, TR-2 provides about 30% greater retention than ZOE provisional cement.
