AccuFilm® is America’s most popular articulating film ... with good reason.

At 21 microns, Accufilm is just 1/3rd to 1/4th the thickness of traditional ribbons and papers. That’s actually below the threshold of human perception. Your patients don’t feel anything between their teeth as they close, so Accufilm can’t trigger mandibular reflexes that might skew the bite.4

The micro-thin film means more precise contacts with fewer false markings.

Research at Tufts University compared AccuFilm with traditional articulating papers and silks. AccuFilm was the only material in the study that didn’t produce false markings. None.

Traditional papers often create smudges that obscure the true point of contact. A study at the University of Texas found that the average AccuFilm mark is just 1/2 to 1/3rd the size of marks from conventional articulating paper or ribbon. (In this study, one brand of “Thin Red Paper” created marks that were 9 times the size of the Accufilm marks.)2

Accufilm works beautifully on damp, saliva-contaminated surfaces.

You can really tug on it to confirm intercuspation. It stretches without tearing. You can stretch an AccuFilm strip to almost twice its original length before it starts to rip. And once it stretches, it stays stretched. It won’t rebound and smear the record.

Single-sided AccuFilm comes in black, red, and green, so you can colour-code the excursions. Double-sided AccuFilm II (black/black, red/red, and red/black) lets you simultaneously mark both arches.

And now AccuFilm gives you a choice between precut strips or continuous rolls. (Same total length. Same price. The strips are more convenient, but the rolls let you cut the precise length you want.)
