Blu-Mousse® is unlike any registration material you’ve ever used before. It’s fluffy, like whipped cream. To your patients, Blu- Mousse is virtually imperceptible. They don’t taste it. They don’t feel warmth in their mouth as they do with wax, compound or plaster. But most important, they don’t feel resistance as they close into centric. Blu- Mousse allows your patient to occlude passively without triggering proprioceptive reflexes. So it won’t skew the registration like wax ... or acrylic ... or putty ... or conventional impression materials.

In fact, Blu-Mousse is so light, it doesn’t even distort the mucosa. If posterior dentition remains to preserve the vertical relationship, you can generally take an accurate registration even where teeth oppose edentulous spaces. Without a base-plate. And without the mess of hot-wax mush bite.

New Blu-Mousse Super-Fast is out of the mouth in just 30 seconds. (Blu-Mousse Classic gives you a bit more working time. It sets in 2 minutes.) So muscle fatigue won’t shift the mandible out of centric.

The unique vinyl polysiloxane formula creates a remarkably stable registration. One that doesn’t distort like traditional materials.1 Not with time. Not with heat or cold. Not with moisture. When the finished case comes back from the lab, your Blu-Mousse registration remains virtually unchanged from the instant you removed it from the mouth.

Tough enough to withstand repeated verification.

Despite its fluffiness, Blu-Mousse sets extraordinarily hard (85+ durometer.) That’s 40% harder than Impregum® F. That’s almost as hard as plaster (100 durometer). Unlike wax or plaster, you don’t have to pamper a Blu-Mousse registration when you reseat it for bite verification. It’s rugged enough to withstand virtually anything your lab can do to it.2 In fact, it’s so strong it will support the models during articulation.
