Laschal - Surgical & Restorative InstrumentsCombination Scissors/Forceps
Problem
A problem exists when trying to remove sutures without an assistant. When a suture is removed by conventional means, two instruments and two hands are required. The non-dominant uses forceps to elevate the tag above the suture to expose the loop. The dominant hand inserts scissors underneath the suture to make the cut. The suture is then removed with the forceps. Since both hands are occupied, there is no way to stabalise a patient and steady the operating hand. Solution ![]() Unique Combination Scissors/Forceps cut, clamp and remove sutures with one instrument and one hand.
