Denar - Occlusion Products

Denar have introduced a new product for use with their articulators and magnetic mounting system. With the HIP mounting platform you can mount casts utilizing the Hamular Notches to Incisive Papilla. Other features include :

• # Snaps into place on magnetic converter plate.
• # A fixed posterior location for the “Hamular Notches”
• # A simple sliding pin to accurately align the “Incisive Papilla”
• # Zero line to indicate mounting position
• # Calibrated lines allow you to raise or lower the platform in 1mm increments, while keeping the maxilla and occlusal plane level

Depending on differing treatment modalities the following highlight information to the new HIP mounting platform.

CR Dentistry

• # Facebow transfer is used to align the maxillary model to the hinge axis of the condyle in the articulator.
• # Opening of vertical dimension is kept to a minimal amount, always protecting the position where the condyle rests in the Fossae

Neuromuscular Dentistry

• # The maxillary model is mounted to the HIP Plane of Occlusion. Using the Hamular notches ( or temporal bones ) and incisive papilla as anatomical landmarks. The maxilla and the occlusal plane remain level at all times.
• # Vertical dimension is routinely opened, regardless of the position where the condyle rests in the fossae.

The new HIP mounting platform will allow the maxillary model to be mounted to the HIP plane of occlusion on Denar articulators and will allow the vertical dimension to be opened in 1mm increments, while keeping the maxilla and occlusal plane level.
